Legacy & inherited systems
The system you inherited, made dependable again.
Plenty of fine Sydney homes run on C-Bus, Dynalite, KNX or an HPM Oscar iControl panel that nobody services any more. We assess what is there, get it working, and only then talk about replacing it.
The idea
Assess first. Rip out last.
An older lighting or automation system is usually salvageable in part. Field wiring, dimmer racks and switch plates often stay; the brain and the interfaces are what date.
We document what exists, tell you plainly what is worth keeping, and stage the work so the house keeps functioning throughout.
Repair & support
Faults traced, not guessed.
Most legacy call-outs are a failed dimmer channel, a lost program file or a dead panel, all findable with the right tools and records.
- Clipsal C-Bus, network faults, dimmer failures, missing project files, key programming.
- Dynalite, controller and ballast faults, scene levels reset properly.
- KNX, bus diagnostics and re-commissioning of existing devices.
- HPM Oscar iControl, replacement paths for panels no longer supported.

Upgrade paths
Keep the wiring. Change the intelligence.
Where an old platform is genuinely past it, the existing cabling usually lets us modernise without opening walls.
- Bridge C-Bus, Dynalite or KNX into Control4 so one interface runs everything.
- Or replace the control layer entirely and reuse existing lighting circuits.
- New engraved keypads in place of dated plates, room by room.
- Staged over weeks, with the house lit and usable every night.
