Security

Smart home security in Sydney: integrated, not bolted on

Cameras, alarm, intercom, gates and locks are usually bought separately and never speak to each other. Designed together, they become simpler and far more useful.

One interface, not five apps

Most homes accumulate security in layers: an alarm from the builder, a camera kit later, a video doorbell after that. Each arrives with its own app and its own login, and none of them knows what the others are doing.

Integrated security puts all of it in one place, the touchscreen in the kitchen, the keypad by the door, your phone when you are away, so checking the house takes one action instead of four.

Design the positions, not just the products

Camera value comes from coverage and night performance, which are decided by position, sightlines and how the exterior lighting is designed. We resolve those on plan, alongside the facade and landscape lighting, so hardware stays discreet and cabling stays hidden.

The same applies to intercom, gates and locks: everyday access should be effortless for the household and controlled for everyone else.

Let the house behave sensibly

Arriving home can disarm the alarm, open the gate and raise the entry lighting in one action. Goodnight can check doors, arm the perimeter and leave a low path to bed. Away can pull lighting, climate and shading back while security keeps watching.

That is where integration earns its place, not in dramatic features, but in removing the small daily frictions that make people stop using security altogether.

Privacy is part of the brief

Recording, retention and who can view what are design decisions. We plan cameras with the household's privacy in mind, keep footage on site where appropriate, and set notifications for the events that genuinely matter.
